  • You create an event and receive a unique QR code

How do I create an event? Toggle Details

Here are some steps to help you get started:

  • Click on "Create Gallery" on our homepage
  • Fill in your event details (Name, Date)
  • Complete the payment (29.99€ for 6 months)
  • Receive your QR code and gallery link via email
The entire process takes less than 30 seconds!

Do guests need to download the app? Toggle Details

No! This is one of the best features of FlashUp. Guests just need to:

  • Scan the QR code with their mobile camera
  • Your browser will open automatically
  • They can upload photos directly through the web interface
It works on any smartphone, tablet, or computer with a modern web browser.

How do I share the QR code with my guests? Toggle Details

You can share your QR code in various ways:

  • Print: On tables, at the entrance, or on invitations
  • Share digitally: Send via WhatsApp, email, or social media
  • Display: Show on screens or projectors at your location
  • Templates: Use our flyer templates
  • Embed in invitations: Add to wedding invitations or event flyers

Technical Questions

Which devices and browsers are supported? Toggle Details

FlashUp works on virtually all modern devices:

  • Tablets: iPad, Android-Tablets
  • Computer: Windows, Mac, Linux
  • Browser: Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge (latest versions)
The QR code scanning feature requires a device with a camera.

Which file formats and sizes are supported? Toggle Details

  • Supported Formats: JPEG, JPG, PNG, HEIC (iPhone), WebP, GIF, MP4, M4A, WAV
  • File Size Limits: no limits
  • Upload Limits: Guests can upload multiple photos and videos simultaneously
Photos are automatically compressed for faster loading while maintaining quality.

Is there a limit on the number of photos & videos? Toggle Details

No! There are no limits on:

Your gallery can be as large as your event needs!

What happens if someone uploads inappropriate content? Toggle Details

We take content moderation seriously:

  • You can report inappropriate content via email or delete it yourself in the admin panel
  • We review reports within 24 hours
  • Inappropriate content is removed immediately

Data Protection & Security

How secure are my photos? Toggle Details

Your photos & videos are protected with enterprise-grade security:

  • Encryption: All photos are encrypted during transmission and storage
  • EU Hosting: Stored in GDPR-compliant European data centers
  • Private Access: Only people with your QR code can access the gallery
  • No Public Indexing: Your gallery does not appear in search engines
  • Backups: We regularly back up your photos to a second location

Who can see my photos? Toggle Details

Only people with access to your QR code or direct link can view your gallery. This includes:

  • You (the gallery creator)
  • Anyone you share the QR code with
  • Anyone they might share it with
Important: Treat your QR code like a password - only share it with people you trust.

Are you GDPR compliant? Toggle Details

Yes! We are fully GDPR compliant:

  • All data is stored in the EU
  • We only collect necessary information
  • You can request the deletion of your data at any time
  • We have clear privacy policies and consent mechanisms

How long are photos stored? Toggle Details

Your gallery and all photos are available for 6 months after your event date.

Before deletion, we will send you email reminders to download your photos if you wish to keep them permanently.

Important: After 6 months, all photos will be permanently deleted and cannot be recovered.

All Payments are securely processed by Stripe, we never store your payment information.

Can I get a refund? Toggle Details

Since we provide the service immediately (QR code and gallery creation), refunds are generally not available under EU consumer law.

If you experience any technical issues or are dissatisfied with the service, please contact us at info@flashup.io and we will work to resolve the issue.

Do you offer discounts for multiple events? Toggle Details

Currently, each gallery is priced individually at 29.99€. However:

  • Event planners planning multiple events can contact us for potential discounts
  • We occasionally offer promo codes (like SUMMER50)
  • Follow us for special offers and discounts
